Descendants of the other sons of John Tennison and by default are assigned to Levi. This generation was born and raised in Overton County, TN with the other Dennis family members. WE have received DNA confirmation that the line of Levi's son Levi H. Dennis b. ca. 1815 is indeed in our family. Younger Levi, moved to Allen Co., KY., while the rest of the male families homesteaded in Morgan County, IL

  No direct documentation on the connection between Levi Dennis b. 1778 MD and his sons: James M; John ; Gabriel Dennis; and William Gene Dennis. Descendants of the other sons of John Tennison are proven the remaining males by default are assigned to Levi. This generation was born and raised in Overton County, TN with the other Dennis family members. WE have receive DNA confirmation that son Levi H. Dennis b. ca. 1815. Levi H. along with two brothers moved to Allen Co., KY. This county is right across the state line and close to Overton Co., TN. These families were the only ones to relocate to that county. Gabriel H. Dennis enlisted in Morgan County, Il., 8/13/1862, for Co. G, 101st Illinois Infantry, as a private. He died of wounds, at Chattanooga, TN. 18 Dec. 1863, and buried there.
